Fog hits flight movements

Indore : Dense fog at North Indian airports and at the city airport too leads to severely affect the flight movements at the city airport. Two flights were cancelled while rest of the flights was running delayed more than 4 hours.

For the first time in the current winter season the air passengers had to pass through the experience of flight delay due to the fog and low visibility. Like that of the low visibility at the other airports of the North India, the same went down to 20 meter at local airport, while minimum required visibility at the airport for a safe operation of the flights is 50 meter.

According to the airport sources, due to the delay of the morning flights, the other flights of the day could not compensate the delay and was flying delayed till late night. Jet Airways cancelled its flight no. JAI-791/92 Delhi-Indore-Delhi, which arrives at 7.20am from Delhi and fly back to national capital at 8.20am.
