Dibrugarh: The night landing facility at the Dibrugarh Airport became commercially operational for the first time on Tuesday with the delayed landing of the Jet Airways flight (No. 9W-7079).
The flight was scheduled for arrival from Ahmedabad via New Delhi and Guwahati at 1.25 pm, but it landed at 6.10 pm. It took to the skies at 6.40 pm on the return journey.
Night landing facilities have been installed at the airport a long time back, but they became operational only after the landing of this delayed flight. No regular flight has otherwise been operating from the airport during the night.
