Spicejet refused refuel, Madurai-Hyderabad flight delayed

Madurai: The departure of the Madurai-Hyderabad Spicejet flight was delayed for four hours on Saturday evening after a private petroleum company refused to refuel the plane for want of payment.

Airport officials here confirmed the reason for the delay. However, they were not ready to comment on the deal between the Kalanithi Maran-promoted Spicejet and the oil company.

The 78-seater Q-400 class flight that landed from Colombo was scheduled to take off for Hyderabad at 4.35 p.m.
