He almost made it to Mumbai on friend's mother’s flight ticket

Bangalore: According to sources, Sajid Samran, a BE student, was to travel with his mother Shamshad Begum to Mumbai from Mangaluru in a private airlines flight.
However, Shamshad Begum cancelled her plans of going at the last minute. Instead, Sajid's friend, Mohammud Shakeel an MBA student, decided to travel with him on Shamshad Begum's ticket.
"What is shocking is that the duo managed to clear two security checks and was even issued boarding passes.
"At the boarding counter, Sajid reportedly told the airline staff that his mother had been to the wash room and that the staff could hand over the pass to him.
"The airline staff who handed over the pass luckily observed these two boys and realised that they were playing a prank and immediately informed the CISF personnel. The CISF, in turn, handed them over to the local police," said the source. Meanwhile, it is learnt that the security agencies were trying to cover up the incident.
It is learnt that a case has been booked under section 419 (Cheating by impersonation) and section 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) of the Indian Penal Code.
