New Delhi: The government said on Tuesday that the air fares remained well within the fare bucket uploaded by the airlines on their respective websites.
According to Minister of State (MoS) for Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has set up a tariff monitoring unit to monitor air fares on certain routes which are selected on random basis.
"An analysis has shown that the air fares remained well within the fare bucket uploaded by the airlines on their respective websites," the minister said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.
