Dornier crash: Body of second missing officer found, search called off

The search operation which began after the Navy Dornier crashed into sea 25 miles off Goa coast has been called off with the recovery of the body of Lt Abhinay Nagori from the fuselage.
The body of Lt Kiran Shekhawat, the observer officer on-board, was located by divers on Thursday in the wreckage. Shekhawat is the first lady officer of Navy to have died in a service aircraft crash.
The Dornier, Do-228, belonging to the Indian Navy Aviation Squadron 310, took off from INS Hansa in Goa at 6.30 pm on Tuesday evening on a training mission. It lost contact at 10.08 pm, 25 nautical miles off Goa coast. Commander Joshi, the in-charge of the aircraft, has 4,000 hours of flying experience.
