Air Odisha to fly devotees from May

Bhubaneswar:  Regional flier Air Odisha will start its intra-state operation from May first week ahead of Nabakalebara, said sources in Biju Patnaik International Airport here.

Air Odisha, a state-based flier, has already parked its flight at the airport for the purpose. The flight has six seats.

"We have asked the flier to keep its flight ready so that devotees, interested to use air services to witness Nabakelabara, can book their tickets in advance," said airport director Sharad Kumar.

He said Air Odisha wants the state government to compensate for four seats in case they go vacant. "There was another flier, which was interested to start intra-state operations, but Air Odisha has been selected," said the director.
