Mumbai: Budget carrier SpiceJet plans to induct promoter Ajay Singh's wife Shivani Singh into the company's board and will seek its shareholders' approval when it meets them next month, a source close to the development said.
The company last month got an approval from the government to appoint Singh. It was part of a larger rejig which also included the appointments of Tejpreet S Chopra, former India chief of General Electric and Harsha Vardhana Singh, adjunct professor, Columbia University
Capital markets regulator Sebi mandates that all publicly listed companies should have at least one woman director in their boards.
