10 flights delayed due to bad weather

More than 1,800 passengers were affected as total 10 flights including five incoming and five outgoing from city airport were delayed by 50 mins to 2 hours on Wednesday due to bad weather in Ahmedabad and Mumbai and congestion in air traffic. These included six flights of Jet Airways, two flights of Air India and one flight each of Go Air and SpiceJet. The routes affected include Ahmedabad-Mumbai, Ahmedabad-Bhopal and Ahmedabad-Delhi. The major impact was on Mumbai route where in eight flights were delayed. However, there were no diversions on Wednesday.


On Tuesday, as many as two flights were diverted and nine delayed due to incessant rains in city. Jet Airways' Mumbai- Ahmedabad and Delhi- Ahmedabad flights were diverted on Tuesday morning to Mumbai and Delhi respectively due to bad weather. More than 2,000 passengers were affected due to delays and diversions throughout the day. Also nine flights including, six outgoing and three incoming were delayed by 50 mins to over 7 hours due to rains and low visibility at city airport and congestion in traffic on Tuesday.
