IC-814 Hijack: PMO didn’t keep crisis group in loop, says Sharad Yadav

New Delhi: While maintaining that it was not fair on the part of an officer (former R&AW chief A S Dulat) to write on the IC-814 hijack over 15 years after it happened, JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav Sunday admitted lack of coordination between the Crisis Management Group (CMG) and the PMO. He said the CMG was not kept informed about the deliberations at the PMO.
Yadav, who was the Civil Aviation Minister at the time of the hijack, was a member of the CMG headed by Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani. He said although the CMG was set up to take decisions with regard to the hijacked plane, the decision-making was done at the PMO.
