‘Int’l airlines to decide visa on arrival at LBS Airport’

Varanasi: Union minister of state for civil aviation, culture and tourism Mahesh Sharma said that international airlines would take a decision on the proposal of beginning visa on arrival facility at LBS International Airport here.

Regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's next visit to the city, he said that there was a possibility of the next visit on July 16. However, the programme would be finalized by the PMO.

The minister said the PMO and ministry of environment have started efforts to find out solution to the threat being posed to historical ghats along the Ganga in Varanasi due to tortoise sanctuary. He asked the state government to show sensitivity in improving the basic infrastructure and sanitary conditions in the cities of international importance like Varanasi and Agra.
