Thiruvananthapuram: Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan has asked Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to explain the circumstances of underwriting four seats for M/s Awadh Aerostate Limited (AAL) to enable intra-State flight operations.
The decision has resulted in loss to the exchequer and is a classic example of the UDF government’s corruption being extended to the skies, Mr. Achuthanandan alleged in a statement here.
The underwriting of the seats for the private Uttar Pradesh operator ignoring the claims of Air India to operate intra-State flight operations is mysterious.
