Thiruvananthapuram: The Federation of Residents’ Association (FRAT) has called for immediate steps by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the government to expedite development of Thiruvananthapuram international airport.
With the government giving the nod for the Vizhinjam international deepwater seaport project, the premier airport of the State has got added significance and will become a prime airport in the South.
The move to sabotage the development of the airport by trivialising it and raising objections should be discouraged, the FRAT president, Pattom Sasidharan Nair and the general secretary, M.S. Venugopal said.
