Five flights diverted due to bad weather

New Delhi:  Five flights, including the one in which Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was travelling, were diverted to nearby airports due to inclement weather conditions in Delhi on Saturday.

The flights that were diverted included two Indigo aircrafts, one heading to Delhi from Guwahati and the other from Kolkata. A Go Air flight heading to the capital from Jammu and an Air India aircraft from Hyderabad were among the others that were diverted.

Apart from the passenger flights, the chartered aircraft carrying Rahul Gandhi from Patna was also diverted as permission to land it could not be granted by the air traffic controller due to poor visibility at the airport.
