Chennai: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel recovered 119 live star tortoises from a 23-year-old passenger at Chennai airport on Thursday. Thameem Kaja Kareem, a trader from Mannadi in the city, was stopped while trying to board a Malaysia Airlines flight to Kuala Lumpur at 11.45 a.m. CISF officials said they detected the tortoises while screening his baggage. The tortoises were concealed in his clothes.
