Indore:First Green Corridor transports liver to airport in 10 minutes

In a first for the financial capital of Madhya Pradesh, the Indore administration successfully created a 'Green Corridor' and transported a liver to the city's Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport within a span of 10 minutes. The liver would be transplanted in a patient in Delhi.

The ambulance, which carried the liver, covered a distance of about 10 km and reached the airport in 10 minutes. After completing the formalities, the liver was safely placed in a Delhi-bound private aircraft, he said.
The liver belonged to Rameshwar Khede, a Khargone resident, who was declared brain-dead 12 hours after sustaining injuries in a road accident yesterday, he said, adding that the victim's family agreed for the donation.
