Rajesh Rateria takes over as Chairperson of TAAI – Western Chapter

Mumbai: Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) Western Chapter recently appointed new office bearers for the next year. The new office bearers include: Rajesh Rateria, Director, Cirrus Travels Pvt. Ltd. as the new Chairperson for TAAI – Western Region; while Arun Biyani, Director, Travel Links and Tours Pvt. Ltd. as Honorary Secretary and Jay Bhatia, Director, Tulsidas Khimji Holidays Pvt. Ltd. appointed as the Honorary Treasurer. In order to introduce the new office bearers to other members, TAAI Western Chapter recently organised a meet in Mumbai.
The Western Chapter has formed sub committee's like Airline committee, Events & Marts committee, Membership development committee and Grievances committee. The newly formed committee aims to further enhance relations between travel trade and airlines, educate TAAI members on various developments and trends in travel industry, keep the members informed on the latest updates, increase membership to make the association stronger and work closely with other trade associations to speak as one voice for travel agent's rights.
The Chapter is planning to organise a Visa seminar in January 2010, wherein senior officers from the consulate office of that specific country will be presenting details on various policies and procedures on obtaining Visas.
